1. Never cover up exposed raw walls, ceilings or floors such as brick, beams, or poured form concrete. Instead, strip the dirt off and let them shine. Often there are great colors of old paint or rust that you can highlight and pull other room colors from. Stripping down beams and all structural elements in the space is key.
